Day 18 - The Beautiful Game at Rest
No goals. Nil. Nada. Zip. What a dreadful day of foot-ball at Emperor Wilhelm’s World Cup. The Italians were up to their old tricks again, diving and falling all over Germany. This is not a pool boys! The Ukrainians and Swiss both played not to lose and in the end nobody won.
Best Game: None. The TiVO attached to my RCA Victor Television Receiver mercifully cut off the last part of the Ukraine v. Switzerland match.
Best ESPN Factoid: Thanks to practice sessions, Marcelo Balboa is now speaking English as well as Giorgio Chinaglia.
Best face paint: She is more awake the Ukrainian and Swiss attack combined!
